GENNADY PROVATOROV
(1929 – 2010)
Russian and Byelorussian conductor. People’s Artist of the RSFSR, Honoured Artist of the Republic of Belarus, the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus winner, an Honoured doctor. He chief-conducted the Samara Philharmonics Symphony Orchestra and the Mussa Jalil Tatar Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre from 1998 to 1999.

a renowned Soviet and Russian pianist, composer and conductor. People’s Artist of the RSFSR. Four times winner of the State Prize of Russia in 1982, 1993, 1996 and 2006. Golden Medal at the Tchaikovsky International Competition in 1978, Grammy Award winner in 2008. Founder and Artistic Director of the Russian National Orchestra.

(BORN 1957)
Russian conductor. Grzegorz Fitelberg International Competition for Conductors first prize (Katowice, 1987) and Kirill Kondrashin Competition for Young Conductors first prize (Amsterdam, 1989). Presently, A. Boreiko is Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of two symphony orchestras – the Dusseldorf Symphoniker (2008) and the Orchestre National de Belgique (2012).

Soviet and Russian conductor, professor. People’s Artist of the RSFSR (1976). People’s Artist of the USSR (1981). The Order of Honour (Russia, 2001), Order for Merit to the Fatherland, IV class (2011), etc. Simonov has been Chief Conductor of the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra since 1998.

conductor, professor. Honoured Artist of Byelorussia (1996), Honoured Man of Arts of the Russian Federation (1993). In different periods he was Principal Conductor of the Byelorussian State Academic Symphony Orchestra (1962 - 1968), the State Wind Orchestra of Russia (1972 -1974), the Mikhailovsky Theatre, etc.

Soviet and British ballet artist, choreographer, conductor. Rudolf Nureyev conducted the TNSO on May 24th, 1992, performing music to Romeo and Juliette ballet by Sergei Prokofiev.

VLADIMIR ANDROPOV
(BORN 1946)
Russian conductor. People’s Artist of Russia. In 2001, he was awarded the Order of Friendship. Since 2009 he has chief-conducted the Osipov National Russian Academic Folk Instruments Orchestra.
